MRES is hosting community engagement events across Deuel County, South Dakota, to gather input on the proposed Toronto Power Plant. These events include workshops and open houses designed to share information, answer questions and hear local perspectives. Workshops on May 13 will focus on identifying community needs and benefits, while open houses throughout May offer informal opportunities for discussion. The proposed facility would provide reliable backup power during high-demand periods and be located near existing infrastructure to minimize impacts. MRES emphasizes transparency, community involvement and long-term partnership as it considers moving the project forward with local input.
