Four community officials recognized during MRES® Annual Meeting

Four individuals from MRES member communities were recognized with awards during the organization’s 59th Annual Meeting. The awards presentation was held on May 8 as part of the Annual Meeting program at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

MRES generating facility receives national award

The Turbine Inlet Cooling Association (TICA) recently presented its 2024 Turbine Inlet Cooling Excellence Award to Exira Station, a 140-megawatt generating facility in Audubon County, Iowa, owned by Western Minnesota Municipal Power Agency and operated by Missouri River Energy Services (MRES).

Hoye announces retirement

Jim Hoye, who has served over 20 years on the Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) Board of Directors (Board), recently announced his retirement from the Board. The Board accepted Hoye’s resignation during its Dec. 7 meeting and adopted a resolution of commendation and appreciation for his decades of loyal, dedicated service.
