Moody's upgrades WMMPA to Aa2 with stable outlook

The Western Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (WMMPA) was recently upgraded to a rating of Aa2 from Aa3 with a stable outlook by the national rating service company Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s). At the same time, Fitch Ratings (Fitch) reaffirmed its AA- rating with a stable outlook on WMMPA’s power supply revenue bonds.

Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) unveiled its new MRES Ambassador Program to members during its annual meeting in May. The program is one of several efforts by MRES to help its members communicate the value and benefits of their local public power utility, as well as the inherent benefits of belonging to a larger, joint-action organization of 61 utilities working for the common good.

MRES president and CEO announces retirement

Tom Heller, president and CEO of Missouri River Energy Services (MRES), has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2023.
