Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) entered 2026 continuing to focus on reliability, affordability and advocacy. Stories in this issue include continued regulatory review of the proposed 145-MW Toronto Power Plant, site preparation at the Watertown Power Plant for future opportunities and a Kwik Trip and Bright Energy Solutions rebates feature. MRES member outreach through cost-share programs helped public power communities across the MRES membership and in January the board approved the 2026 leadership committees. MRES also celebrated 60 years with three member utilities.
