SF 583 (Formerly SSB 1201): A bill to allow IOUs to use different models for the purchase and payment for distributed generation customer’s “excess” generation.
Status: See 2019 Action 2/18/2020 – Assigned to House Commerce Subcommittee. 2/20/2020 – Subcommittee recommends amendment and passage. 2/24/2020 – Committee Passed as Amended (20-0). 3/3/2020 – House passed bill (98-0). 3/4/2020 – Senate concurred (48-0). 3/12/2020 – Governor signed.

SF 639 (Formerly SSB 1261): Requires public entities to make their lobbyists contracts public, to report positions on legislation, a summary and status of all bills that were lobbied on by the entity, and maintain an internet site of the bills being lobbied on. The public entity is required to take action at a public meeting before entering into any lobbying actions/contracts. See SF 2395.

SF 2072: Requires political subdivisions to prepare employee salary reports.
Status: Assigned to Senate Local Government. 1/27/2020 – subcommittee appointed. 1/30/2020 – hearing scheduled for February 5. 2/5/2020 - committee heard testimony, took no action. 2/21/2020 – Failed to meet First Funnel Deadline.

SF 2073: Provides for an affirmative defense, for cyber security breaches, that the person established, maintained and complied with a cyber-security program that conforms to current and accepted industry standards regarding cyber security. See SF 2252.

SF 2136: (formerly SF 562) Prohibits removal of city utility board members without cause except in municipalities of greater than 200,000 population.
