Receive Payments for the Use of Your Generation

Services to Energize Your Business! Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) has teamed up with its member municipal utilities to offer a program aimed at making use of the generation equipment that is owned by commercial and industrial electricity customers. The program provides monthly payments to customers who make their equipment available for use by MRES during peak electric usage times.

Many customers own backup electrical generation equipment for use during power outages. Most of the time, this equipment is idle. To enhance the reliability of our supply, MRES offers to contract with customers to use their generation equipment when it is not already in use by the customer.

Monthly base payments are made to customers who make their equipment available. Fuel payments are also made when the equipment is used by MRES. Customers who participate in this program continue to have the first right to use the generation equipment to meet their own needs.
